The Wednesday Night Scratching Post

My name is Adam Barron, founder of NBACats.com, and yes, that is a picture of me wearing long johns, boots, a cowboy hat and my favorite UK hoodie (which I am wearing right now) on the shoulder of I-65 during a traffic jam on my way home from a UK football bowl game in Nashville. Enough about me though, let’s get to the news…

-The people over at Kingsblog.com must have heard about Cousin’s LVP award last night, as they responded with a post boosting up the former Wildcat, and here is what his fellow NBAcat Chuck Hayes had to say,

Kings captain Chuck Hayes sees Cousins as a teammate who’s rapidly improving and a valuable asset to the team.

“He’s learning. He’s soaking it all in. His maturity as a professional – everything about him – his attitude, everything is getting better,” Hayes said.” It’s exactly what we need.”

– Three NBAcats will be suiting up for the inaugural Rising Stars Challenge. NBACats John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, and Brandon Knight were all selected to participate. Can someone please make sure they are on the same team? Kentucky Sports Radio had a nice post on the news that can be found here.

UK beating the Raptors? I guess Jeff Goodman hasn’t read my analysis yet.

– So I guess this is the time to start a firevinnydelnegro.com site, as the head coach of the Clippers held out Eric Bledsoe once again. I think the #BBN can agree that we were hoping “Crank That Mustard” would get some serious minutes after the injury to Chauncey Billups. Hopefully this will change very soon.

Daniel Orton and Deandre Liggins helped the Magic to a big win over the Heat tonight, combining for 0 points, o blocks, and 0 minutes. Give our boys some minutes!!

Meeks had an off tonight in the 76ers 90-100 loss to the Spurs, only scoring 3 points on 1-5 shooting. A full game recap can be found here.

John Wall had 29 points and 6 assists but it wasn’t enough as his Wizards fell to the New York Knicks and out-of-nowhere superstar Jeremy Lin. Lin went off tonight again but since it was against Wall, I’d really rather not give the stats. If you really want to know, you should check out this full game recap.

Magloire only had 1 rebound and failed to score in the Raptors loss to the Bucks. I’m really depressed about this so I’m going to stop talking about it.

Brandon Knight and Tayshaun Prince both had good games tonight in the Piston’s victory over Bogans and the Nets. Together they combined for 28 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 protective mask. Full game recap here.

That’s it for tonight. Tomorrow we will have another full day of posts, the Patrick Patterson game recap, and lots more. Go Cats!!!

I especially like the cowboy hat! Bledsoe definetly needs some minutes.

Glad Chuck Hayes is around Cousins to help him mature. That is great. One Cat helping another. Once in the family you are always part of the family. Thats enough for now.
