The Rajon Rondo Mid-Day Meow

Rajon Rondo has been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers…just kidding. He is, however, all over the news and in honor of his record setting triple-double on Sunday I have decided to dedicate today’s Mid-Day Meow to Rajon Rondo news, enjoy.

– Rajon Rondo decided to end his 3 days of silence, finally speaking to the media last night following his team’s loss to the Pistons. He’s so mysterious…

– Here is a video of Rondo pulling off a nice baseline spin move on Detroit Piston Will Bynum, and finishing with a reverse layup.

– The Bleacher Report came out with another slideshow today, this time ranking the best PGs in Bostons Celtics history and they put our man Rajon Rondo at 4th. Here is what they had to say:

Rondo’s placement on this list is going to draw some criticism, but it’s important to remember that he’s still very young and has a lot left to do in his career. An assist machine and someone who possesses elite court vision, Rondo’s jump shot has been a work in progress ever since he got into the NBA. There is a lot to like about Rondo’s game and what he brings to the fold, but he’s going to have to really stand out going forward to move up on the list.

Rondo holds numerous Boston Celtics records (assists in a season, assists in a game, steals in a season), has won an NBA Championship, and most importantly, played for the University of Kentucky. With The Kentucky Effect alone he should have been put first, add in everything else, and it’s not even close.

NBACats in Action Tonight

There are only 2 NBA games being televised tonight and BOTH games tonight featuring former UK players will be airing on TNT. Here is the lineup…

– Up first will be Rajon Rondo, who leads his Celtics up against the Chicago Bulls at 8:00. Unfortunately, former Calipari point guard Derrick Rose is expected to miss the game while still recovering from back problems. Let’s hope Rondo and the Celtics can get the win tonight, they need one.

– Next, beginning at 10:30, Eric Bledsoe and the Clippers will take on the Portland Trailblazers (did I mention it will be on TNT). Last night Bledsoe only registered 6 minutes, but hopefully with him now fully recovered from his injury, tonight we will see that number increase. NBACats Eric Bledsoe Prediction: 11 minutes, 7 points, 2 assists, 4 fouls .

For those of you who won’t be able to catch the games tonight on TNT, we will be providing free live gamecast links beginning around 5:45. These links can also be used to read pre-game reviews if you click the links before the game starts, so be sure to check them out before the games start. It’s going to be a great night of NBACats basketball, I can’t wait!!
