NBAcat MVP of the Night: John Wall

Are the kids still doing this?

NBAcat MVP of the Night: John Wall went off tonight for 25 points in 34 minutes of play as the Wizards continued their bid to get Anthony Davis in Washington, losing to the Memphis Grizzlies 92-97. John also added 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocked shots. If the Wizards keep this pace up they are going to be moving lob city across the country. You can find a complete game box score here.

Tayshaun Prince led the Pistons against the LA Clippers playing 41 minutes as they lost in overtime 83-87. Tayshaun scored 20 points, had 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocked shots. Brandon Knight was also playing in this game, but didn’t have the same success as Tay. Brandon was 3-14 from the field and 0-7 from the 3 point line. He logged 39 minutes, scored 6 points, had 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Eric Bledsoe did not play due to coaches decision. We all know it is because they did not want to pit NBAcats against one another as the building may not be able to handle the applause. You can find a complete game box score here.

Chuck Hayes put in 27 minutes tonight in a Sacramento Kings victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Demarcus Cousins had a relatively quiet game putting in 21 minutes, scoring 9 points, with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Going 2-8 from the field including 0-5 in the first half. The Orlando Magic lost to the Miami Heat 81-91. This was mainly because Deandre Liggins and Daniel Orton neither one logged a single minute. With Deandre defensively locking down Lebron and Daniel blocking every shot in the paint, this would have been a different outcome. You can find a full game box score here.

Patrick Patterson logged 27 minutes for the Houston Rockets in a loss to the Phoenix Suns. In those minutes he scored 13 points, had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocked shots. You can find a full game box score here.

Enes Kanter led his Utah Jazz to victory over the Los Angeles Lakers 103-99. Enes had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist in 23 minutes of action. The big fella is a competitor. You can find a complete game box score here.

Nazr Mohammed continues to be the MVP of the 4th ranked power team in the NBA. Nazr had 2 points and 3 rebounds in 9 minutes of action in an Oklahoma City Thunder win over the Portland Trailblazers 111-95. I have to assume Nazr was pulled early as to not “run up the score”. You can find a full game recap here.
