Tayshaun Prince wants Detroit to get a veteran point guard

From The Detroit Free Press…

“Brandon Knight is our starting point guard and will continue to be, but hopefully we can get a veteran point guard to kind of mentor him a little bit,” Prince said. “There can be times that me and Ben Wallace can mentor and help him out and whatnot, but I think if you have a point guard that’s been through the wars, he can help him out a little bit better than we can.”

I think Prince makes a lot of sense. A guy like Derek Fisher could come in and mentor Knight to not only get better as a player, but hopefully one day become president of the players union. The players union is a hot mess right now and someone of Brandon’s intelligence and work ethic would be a perfect fit.

I mean the guy likes Shakespeare.
