76ers head coach Doug Collins says Jodie Meeks may see more minutes in Game 6

From Philly Blurb…

For the Sixers to avoid a Game 7, they’re going to have to put some points on the board. They’re struggling to score, averaging 87.4 points in the series. That total drops to 82 points if you subtract their 109 in Game 2.

The Sixers have shot below 40 percent in each of the last three games, including 32.1 percent during Tuesday’s loss in which they managed 26 points in the first half.

Getting out on the fast break would give the Sixers a big boost, but that’s easier said than done.
If the Bulls continue to prevent the Sixers from driving, Sixers coach Doug Collins said Thursday “might be a game Jodie (Meeks) gets more minutes” to take advantage of Meeks’ perimeter shooting.

Leading scorer Jrue Holiday is averaging 18 points in the last two games (a team-high 19.0 in the series) despite shooting 12-for-40 (30 percent) from the field.

Thaddeus Young, who averaged 12.8 points during the regular season, went scoreless on 0-for-3 shooting Tuesday — and all three attempts were blocked. He’s averaging 5.5 points on 7-for-21 shooting in the past four games.

Andre Iguodala is hitting a team-worst 30.6 percent in the series after going 4-for-19 in Game 5, including 1-for-6 from 3-point range.

“We’ve got to use good judgment,” Collins said. “(Tuesday) night they did not let us run our offense.”

Free throws have been a huge plus for the Sixers. They’ve made more foul shots (101) than the Bulls have attempted (90).

The Bulls are being extremely physical. They were tougher than the Sixers in Game 5 and figure to continue trying to do the same.

“We’ve definitely got to try to close it out and match their intensity,” Young said.
Rose remains out, but Noah could be back Thursday. How much and how well he plays remains to be seen.

“We love being in front of our crowd,” Young said. “It’s like we have extra players on the court when we have those guys behind us. We definitely would love to get it over with in our building.”

Well, maybe Doug isn’t as stupid as he looks. Give Jodie More Minutes!!!
