Pistons fans vote Brandon Knight as the best candidate to grace a video game cover
If one of the Detroit Pistons is eventually going to be featured on the cover of a video game, Brandon Knight it the guy.
So say MLive.com readers.
Knight was a narrow winner in an MLive.com poll asking which member of the Pistons could potentially join the Tigers’ Justin Verlander, the Lions’ Calvin Johnson and perhaps the Red Wings’ Pavel Datsyuk as video game cover boys.
Verlander is the one the cover of this year’s Major League Baseball 2K12, Johnson will be soon be featured on Madden ’13 and Datsyuk is among the 16 finalists to be make the front of EA Sports NHL 13.
Which brings us to the Pistons.
The voting in our poll was close among four of the five options. Of the 643 readers who voted, Knight received 168 votes (26.1 percent) to nip a future draft choice (159 votes) and center Greg Monroe (155). There were 140 readers who said nobody deserved to be on the cover and 21 who selected the “other” option.
Here’s what some readers had to say:

“If the Pistons could get Anthony Davis, he may be a superstar. And if the team loads up on talent, Brandon Knight could become a superstar. You never know. But reaching a Lebron or Koby status is really tough.”
I would buy a Pokemon video game if Brandon Knight was on the cover. He’s that good.
