Rondo finishes 8th in MVP voting

The NBA’s Most Valuable Player award, voted on by a panel of 121 sportswriters and broadcasters in the United States and Canada has once again not included in the voting (although to be fair the site didn’t exist last year).

Despite our lack of inclusion in the process, Rondo still managed to finish 8th in the balloting, receiving 2 fourth-place votes and 6 fifth-place votes, for a total of 12 points.

Lebron James won the MVP award with 1,076 points.

With his 12 points, Rondo finished ahead of guys like Dwayne Wade (Marquette), Russell Westbrook (UCLA), Dirk Nowitzki (German Kentucky Fan) and Steve Nash (Santa Clara).

No University of Kentucky basketball player has ever won the MVP.

I think Rajon is our best chance for an eventual MVP for UK player. That is if Ant doesnt get hot coming out of the gate.
